4.»Blogueando en la red»

We are facing a moment where virtual experiences are present in the building of our own identity and in how we build our affections with the environment. Youth people are increasing their use of internet as a channel of communication and they show themselves to the world through the Net. Virtual experiences have been equated to real experiences, so trying to conciliate them and being aware of how to manage and protect ourselves is our pedagogic responsibility.

Integrating New Technologies in the classroom and in our youth´s daily life represents a large educational task. Surfing on their centres of interest and knowing how to approach conflicts from the net is a challenge to which professionals in the education field have to dare to know and involve in a constructive way. Living these experiences in a positive way and accepting the context where youth people grow enable us to approach the cyberspace as a place to make knowledge possible.

As an answer to this reality in which youth people are involved,  the Iniciatives Solidàries entity gets involved in this Pedagogic Initiative inside the Experimental Program to Foresight Premature School Abandonment ant the Socioeducational Integration (INTEGRA plan from the Valencian Community: agreement between the Generalitat Valenciana and the Ministry of Education and Science) with youth people from 14 to 16 years old under Social risk Exclusion in the Centre of Professional Education in Car Maintenance (CELA). This program is outlined as an innovating experience as it authorizes the shared schooling between High Schools and external entities of students under high risk of abandonment and school failure in the Valencian Community.

This Real adventure in the virtual world counts on the support of an interdisciplinar educational team which has taken part in its design, its implementation starting and its revision, and requires the Educational Community to promote the creation of nets and learning communities. Therefore, this material has been created to “connect” with youth people making them participate in the whole process, with the aim to provoke emotions, to elaborate reflections, to rethink their affections on which concepts are agreed, which procedures are developed, which skills are empowered and which values are fixed. DIDACTIC MATERIALS FOR TEACHING BASIC EDUCATION IN PERMANENT EDUCATION FOR ADULT PEOPLE (CYCLE I)

These materials are created by the entity professional team with the aim of preparing the students to acquire a functional literacy and the minimum qualification to access the job market (Basic Training Degree). These materials contain a Didactic Guide that allows an optimal preparation of the subjects (Spanish, Valencian, Nature, Ecology and Health, and Mathematical Processes and Instruments). The students also have reinforcement activities and activities that prepare them for the exams.

These materials are given to students to make their courses and examinations ready and also offer them education in comprehensive reading, lexical fluency, basic mathematics, writing, and a critical understanding of the social and natural environment.

6. «Sociedad Territorio y Procesos Histórico-Culturales»

DIDACTIC MATERIALS FOR TEACHING SOCIETY, TERRITORY AND HISTORICAL-CULTURAL PROCESSES IN PERMANENT EDUCATION FOR ADULT PEOPLE (SECONDARY EDUCATION)

These materials are created by the entity professional team with the aim of preparing the students to pass this subject in Secondary Education in adult Education and also to prepare the social part of the access test for Medium Grade Formative Course. They contain a Didactic Guide that allows an optimal preparation of the subject, and they also include the needed contents, reinforcement activities, examinations models and answer sheets.

These materials are given to students to make their courses and examinations ready and also offer them a sight of nature, economy and politics of our society, the earth and its geography as well as a journey through history from prehistory to the current day.

7. «Operaciones Auxiliares: Mantenimiento General de Vehículos»

SUPPLEMENTARY OPERATIONS FOR GENERAL MAINTENANCE OF VEHICLES.

The didactic unit “Technical foundation on automotive electricity” is one of the modules from PCPI’s Specific Training “Supplementary Operations for General Maintenance of Vehicles” followed by young students from CELA (Centre of Labor Education on Automotive). Module III is part of the “Specific Training” from the curriculum of this qualification program on professional foundation and is organized in accordance to the following sequence of contents:

  • Module I: Introduction to mechanic technologies.
  • Module II: Basic techniques on mechanic for automotive.
  • Module III: Basic techniques on electricity for automotive.
  • Module IV: Basic techniques on replacing of automotive removable parts.
  • Module V: Training on working centers.

The didactic process is organized around a set of activities and dynamics linked with each other, along with an internal coherence that allows the lecturer to work in abilities that are fundamental for a“ Supplementary Operations for General Maintenance of Vehicles”.

8. «Resolución de Conflictos»

The didactic unit of conflict resolution offers a proposal of education for peace in the area of psychosocial competence.  Special focus is given to abilities in communication as part of conflict and control resolution. The proposal comprises an active methodology promoting reflection, dialogue and not violent communication.

The didactic process is organized from a set of activities and dynamics linked with each other, along with an internal coherence that allows the lecturer working in abilities that are fundamental for peaceful resolution of conflicts. These activities are followed in 2 or 3 sessions of 40 minutes each. The overall objective has consisted of presenting ideas and techniques in the area of psychosocial competence as part of the curriculum. This material provides communicational strategies (which are used) used as an instrument to identify and comprehen social and affective needs as well as to understand the attitudes, needs and values of our students.
